btw, Maya has been used in one form or another (heavily modified with mel, or prototype versions of it) in practically every digital effects movie since Jurassic Park. 3DS Max kicks ass and has my respect, as does XSI- but Maya has made a huge, undeniable impact on the CG world.
Prophecies, sure you can, dude. - xbox360 vga cable just figure out where to plug audio. mine goes into guitar amplifier.) and yeah you get 1080 no sweat. The only difference is that signal is analogue not digital so it's more prone to some kind of physical interference and ghosting problems and stuff.

That's awesome, gotta do what you love! I work with an artist that's 60 years old who doesn't plan on retiring for another ten. He's a 2D artist but still doing his thing in the CG/digital world, never had the desire to be an art director/manager, just loves his craft.
Any news when are coming the beginner tutorials, but any ideas if you´re going to partner with learning places as Pluralsight/Digital Tutors? One more question if I learn Quixel Suite 1 and then follow up the workflow primer I´ll basically know how to use Quixel Suite 2?
My advice would be to get your hands on Digital Tutor's intro to Maya/Max. Do exactly what they do, click for click. It isn't the most fun way to learn, but it'll give you a grasp of the basics. I second what someone said earlier about studying low topology as well.
We recently started doing themed speedpaints at work during lunch break. These are three of the first, starting from last Friday. Usually about 40 minutes each. "Girl vs. Giant Robot": "The Folly": "The Fifth Rider of the Apocalypse": Hope to keep these up nearly every day to improve digital painting.
They must plan on minecraft becoming the legos of the digital era. It is pretty amazing they dropped that much cash on an IP when they could have, oh I don't know, tried funding their own studios to make something innovative. I'm just glad they bought Mojang and not some other developer I care about.
I just bought it digitally on to my ps3. Screw waiting =\ Game is very pretty tho. I wish there was more VO in the game tho. Can't wait to play some more. Hitting monsters with a stick was not very satisfying. But the open world travel, is very nice. I missed that in my RPGs. :D
Well so far I learned a lot modeling that car. But once it's finish i'll try to model something even more complex. So far the toughest object I had to model were the Audi r8, a telephone and a toilet. A digital camera is a great idea tho, maybe i'll try that next!
