I bought this book and so far it is easy to follow and well structured. If you buy a digital copy stay away from the Google play version, its fucked. I wish I would have paid a little extra and got the pdf or a book. -

you could try something like this: http://vimeo.com/5147726 and then randomising the rotation and scale with a script if things look too uniform? i remember doing the set dressing tutorial video from digital tutors and using a similar method to place rocks on a beach. -

I believe though that in the Q&A it stated that you can only enter with a digital piece of work. It would be a shame if you put so much effort into a traditional drawing only to find out you can't enter with one. -

$450? What were they thinking? +1 to a Valve version though. HL2: Raising the Bar was great and don't know why Valve they haven't done any more books. Maybe Polycount should do something similar to 3dTotal Digital Art Masters series? -

I just don't like or care about limited editions. Waste of money, and adds to clutter. Steam Rules. In fact I'm hoping digital downloads becomes the norm for consoles too. I wasn't a fan of the first Assassins Creed, but the art is pretty good. -

thats pretty crazy. The start is boring... but thats the same as a video of a dude with a trumpet saying "this is how you hold an E," "Now, this is how you can make the note sound twice!" that performace is prett rad, although i cant stand that digital tone. -

The point was to do it outside of working in vector. I've been wanting something like a lazy brush in Photoshop as well for some time. As conventient vectors are, I can't stand using them when I'm trying to be "organic" and do some digital painting in Photoshop. -

ceramics and 2d design sound like good ideas, both of which are applicable to digital art, probably moreso than sculpture. having good design skills is not something many have, its good to learn more about that stuff and hone those skills. -

thankyou, but I post my art as often as i can. Most of it is too big for the scanners at my school and I don't have access to a digital camera very often. The last picture on here I had done about 3 months ago.
