Hey! That is a pretty nice sci-fi piece. Good Work! The only thing I might change would the that cylinder. Since it is a generator it would be cool to see some kind of turbine moving inside and some kind of light coming from it. Like if it was producing energy.
its boring. watch any sci-fi movie and look at how they detail their bridge. take a modern battleship and check it out. you have too many simple primitives, flat surfaces and bland lighting. everything looks chunky. just look at the prometheus interior.
Hey Shinobik, and welcome to Polycount! You may want to post this up in the Pimping and Preview section of the forums where everyone shares their art so it'll get the attention it deserves. That said, I think you've done an AWESOME sci-fi take on Blizzards style.
UPDATE: New colors and added bump maps to the skin so that it'll suit that retro style Sci-Fi.. Put a lot of work into this guys,, so be sure to review this before it goes to the final submission! Critics are highly welcome! Review my skin guys.. HF!
Thanks man! I'm trying to make it look like a sort of metal chassis around cutout sections showing internal wiring, coils etc. All guts to give it that homebrew sci-fi look like the props in Back to the Future, Ghostbusters and 80's hardware.
nice explanation :) but i still find problems in choosing architectural style and color palette , would you explain how you would aproach such things , keep in mind im going for a sci fi style combined with some natural elements like jungle and forests...
Yup, this is going to be my movie of the year already. It seriously touches on everything I love! Humorous sci fi with great designs, hard surface porn, and cinematography that looks like a true comic book movie......plus Chris Pratt is awesome! Come out already!
one thing that stands out to me is the front of the pistol grip, on the real gun, its curved, wheras yours looks very squre. I'm also not a big fan of the silencer, even if it is real, it looks kind of weird and sci-fi! modelling looks good though!
Anything I like. I love sci-fi and I love the AC series at the moment so I combined the two. I also like Cowboy Bebop and wouldn't mind trying to recreate that train scene from the movie. It had some nice designs.
I see what you mean about the sci-fi feel to the floor/ceiling but I think if you were to model it correctly it wouldn't look like it appears now. Is it gonna be lit from the those lamps? Got to agree with Habboi with the making it original part.
