I believe you just offset the the shells by 1 unit. The easiest way to do this is with a script like UV Deluxe which is free on creative crash. -

I'm not saying it isn't important or isn't interesting, but viewing it creatively it is very limited. There are not a lot of ideas floating around beyond religious idolatry and pure technique. -

Are you using Photoshop Creative Cloud? If so, try downgrading to CS6 and run it again. We've had similar issues at the office and using CS6 fixed it. -

CC - Creative Commons, if wholly your own original work otherwise if an existing commercial product/item then definitly seek the manufacturer's permission or copyright holder.
