Now that you mention it we should be once again over some 2d cheats, i think ill leave it like this becouse then i can have some contrast over the black top of the support with the greish door support. Thanks for the tips once again vader! I will start low polying and hopefully tomorrow start with the textures (my weakest…
12gb is a little bit of overkill...unless you are going to have a lot of programs open at once. Most (if not all) Windows applications have can use a max of 4GB (Zbrush and After Effects for sure)...so all you are really gaining is the ability to have more programs open at once with less trouble. I have 8gb and I'm…
something i did once was take the blueprints (which had all the lines on it) of the aircraft and bake them down to my low poly using separate UV channels. the blueprints needed to be cleaned up before and after i baked it, but the result was decent and it saved me a lot of hassle. once it was done i just added rivets using…
I think once you add the second layer of finer detail they will have less of that "muddy/blobby" look. I have taken a shine to mudbox over zbrush and find once you have added some texture to the sculpts, either before of after the bake they look a lot better. Though the "blobbiness" does lend it self nicely to the style…
I don't usually need to split things in this way, but I can think of two ways to manage this: 1) Once you're finished sculpting, import a new copy of your obj file. Then subdivide and manually project the details from all of the subtools on to that. 2) Split the character into multiple objects before export, then combine…
Brice> Ah, that's a nice idea. Right now I think I'm using an uncompressed normal map source. So there will be more artifacts as you mention. I definitely want to find out if I can force a lower mip through mental mill. Do you know how to force a certain mip level with HLSL/CGFX code? Thanks.
Ok since the ORB website seems to be permantly down, I took the liberty to make ORB available on our FreeGameArts website. http://freegamearts.myexp.de/tools.html (Look under Image and Texture Software) P.S.: The FreeGameArts website is always looking for contributions. Don't let your unused etc models rot on your…
Poir, I am actually working on this in my free time. I'm quickly learning max script (its actually pretty damn easy...once you find the correct areas on Tech-Artists (Keep your mouth shut MoP :P)). But once I actually get something worth showing, I'll let you guys know. ;0
[ QUOTE ] ..when I render I lose a lot of the texture detail. It's most apparent on the pews at the front. In the viewport you can see the texture fairly clearly and well, but renders seem to blur it up a fair amount. Is there a way to fix this? [/ QUOTE ] You should render the picture two times. once without texture…
i find enforcing tax and id card two seperate issues. as an animal of this planet i find, that forcing people to carry a card completely imorral, and is a sign that some people have the power to force other peoples actions without their consent, not through society but through law. on the other hand you choose to use the…
