Hello, this is my first post here. I made a small sci-fi robot recently. It's almost done. But I still want some feedbacks from this great community. They are high poly version. And I made 3 diffuse textures in 3d-coat.
Hi everyone, I'm making this new environment. I worked on this some months ago actually, but I've never gotten to finishing it. Now I'd like to finish it up. The plan is for a rather simple sci-fi environment, but I'd like to use decals for the details of the building and test this workflow.
I'm going for a spaceship/spacestation throne room influenced by feudal european mediaval elements. I'm aming for a contrast of sci fi materials mixed with medieval gothic architectural structures. This is my moodboard so far, blockout starts tonight, I am very excited!

I am done with the skin and i will upload it tomorrow. I wanted to be something that could be from in Akira with a 70's race/sport feel to it. It is not super in your face 80's/70's sci fi so i hope it still counts. Some pictures:
A test for the jumpsuit in Marvelous Designer that I brought into Mudbox. Going to model some shoulder, forearm and leg armor, pouches, straps, and possibly adding a hood / tall collar / jacket onto it. Need to also add more sci-fi elements as it looks too ordinary at the moment.
Here is an update on the weapon. As you can see in the images I have gone away from the steam punk idea and am taking it more the sci-fi direction. Adding a digital sight and display on top. Crits and comments would be great before I bake this down. :)
Hello, I have decided to take a shot at the sci-fi environment challenge, but since it is my first time building a level, I have some difficulties figuring the dimensions on the concept art. Does anyone have a good advice to size up this kind of stuff ? Thanks ! ;)
Well, that is just amazing work. I'd heavily question the 50's style radio in what is clearly a 60's style retro sci-fi setting, looks rather Falloutish and out of place. But otherwise everything looks fantastic and even the radio is super well done.
