Hi! My name is Kenny Greenblatt and I'm currently looking for work - remote, temp, contract, and on-site; willing to relocate. I have been an animator for 7 years with over 3 years professional experience in the industry. I graduated from the Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy with a MS in game design, concentration…
The problem is your rotating your normals when you flip/rotate your uv shells around, so each uv shell is reading the normals differently. One shell is reading the normals as red/green, and another shell is reading it green/red and between them you end up with a seam.
Gir, just read the first Gotrek Omnibus and have to say it was quite a fun read. Snorri is comical, as is the skaven society. Bunch of backstabbing little rats. Anyway, to stay on topic I'll probably check this movie out even though I have never read the books. It looks average at best.
So, I've been doing some digging over the last few weeks and I will say I've currently moved more off the game stuff to product viz maybe even looking into archviz but I'm still bouncing around a few things. But i thought i'd try and get some advice here as you're a great bunch that really know your shiz. Anyway I've…
While the high looks decent, in my opinion it is not quite hitting the mark with how thin and tiny many things are. By that I am not saying that they should be stylized or exaggerated but rather that they should be making sense in terms of scale, thickness and roundness for things to look like actual sheet metal and/or…
Yea, that trailer was just so they can pack theaters, but from what I've read they are sticking to the source material pretty tightly. One of my favorite books I read last year, though I wish I was prepared, cause it's not a book you want to read with a newborn on the way. :D

But i began to collect a portfolio to get a job in a game development company and join the whole cgi and gamedev sphere. In…
Judging is over and we're FINALLY ready to begin announcing who the winners of Polycount's BRAWL Contest are! As you may remember, the judges were sent the Top 5 FIGHTERS and Top 5 STAGES as voted on by the Polycount Community. From there, they rated the entries in 3 areas: Artistic Achievement, Technical Achievement, and…
Your work looks nice but I have a few points regarding your tread runner; The modelling on everything except for the bags/blankets in the back is good. The base shape of the blankets look very basic and I wouldn't have done it that way. I would have modelled it more thoroughly so you can tell it's a wrapped up blanket in…
Here's some tips to producing really low spec art: Go as low as possible. TBH, if this game were made on DS, these would be sprites because they would look better as sprites that always face the camera. But, for this example, I'll model to explain some things. Four sides looks as round as 6 sides on the small screen. So…
