Not just planes, they have to be smooth surfaces, gentle curves because they're affected by gravity and wind and what not. And that plant in the bottom right of the top pic. I'm trying to do the backspace and it deletes my entire mesh. I can't even select the unwanted edges, it seems like they're connected, like if I select the smoothed vertex, it'll move the unsmoothed vertex as well. just messing with the camera settings and dof, the auto focus is awesome and the sticky feature is dope although it seems to lag behind sometimes, btw am i doing something wrong i find it super hard to get smooth transitions with dof like you see in games where the transition and boken are super smooth but that might be me… -

I hardened all the UV borders edges on my low poly in maya, created the envelope/cage and averaged the normals. May not do anything, but you can try opening the scene and pressing escape (esc) repeatedly. Esc should cancel any script Maya is running. For instance, if you accidentally hit "Mesh > Smooth" on that 15 million polygon sculpt, you can hit Esc and Maya will stop trying to smooth it. Rendering? It will stop rendering. So… -

One thing to keep in mind is exaggerating the roundness of edges in the highpoly so that detail is captured easier by the normal map, and so that edges still appear somewhat smooth at greater distances when there object is smaller on the screen.
