Looking ok so far. Agree with chrisradsby on the room layout. And the lighting seems to limit your work. You can still have blue but try variations such as less saturated, hue variation, etc... Keep it up!
Structured the bike and started to clean up everything, but reaaally struggling on the cloth folds part. Will have to take some time and study folds before coming back on this, I guess. Bwah ! Hey, new layout \o/
okay, and then after I apply the symmetry after unwrap mod, then what? is there a way to go into the uv editor after you apply the symmetry mod and preview the uv layout with the symmetry applied? that is where I get confused
Made a few more base textures for the scene. Stone tile will likely be for the floor, and the wood will be used for trim and vertical support beams along the wall. Currently working on a few different layouts with a 180 degree camera view.
+You know your way arround UDK +Simple layout of page +Submarine desert scene is decent -Second scene not as impressive -You could work with your texturing skills -Needs other assets/ more content
layouts clear and concise-I was immediately drawn in by the color and intriqued by the thumbnails. BUT was let down by the same things cholden mentioned. The sphynx sculpt had a ton of potential- the low poly and texture work let it down hard.
I enjoyed the film, the action was great, my poutine was delicious, had a huge comfy leather seat, and an alexander keith's red ale... I love cineplex vip... though, the San Francisco layout was all wrong.
The vertex numbering is probably different. check around scriptsport.com for a script called "Morphix" it will reorder the verts in one mesh to match the other then you should be able to save the UV layout from one and load it onto the other.
Why not, if it does exactly what you want it to do and doesn't cost you any money and the pipeline for UV layouts is plenty robust? There's still lots of room for improvement in the Blender UV editor but it's really quite competent.
Also if you need to roll your own, it's pretty easy to make one with Shader FX. I did one recently to make a lava shader. I can dig up a screenshot of the layout if you're interested.
