this is a very neat business idea and the sculpt looks amazing. however, i dont find this very educational. lot of the anatomy on this model seems inconsistent in terms on style i.e. planar areas in some places and curved organic areas in other areas. now, that being said this is a very good work of art and in terms of…
Here is the link I got from CNET.com http://reviews.cnet.com/consoles/microsoft-xbox-360-20gb/4014-10109_7-31355096.html?tag=sub (it is based on N. America though) I was hesitating to get one myself as I was aware this instability, but still being attempted from every moment I got a spare bucks.. For sake of saving some…
Update #2: Redid the stone columns to add some more geometry to them. The column texture looks a little too smooth/clay-like so I might go add a bit of noise to the texture later. Also revamped the ivy to give it more volume.
I think some non sci-fi looking stuff will help. Rocks and trees ? Walls and columns and corridors perhaps ? Or something made of out bricks and stones like altars and fountains and wells and what not ? You know, something made by human hands, but not factory-made.
outstanding work , you are one of my favorite environment artist now , and just great scult , texture / spec shading in reel time , it s just amazing, great work ! Every stone or props it s a great scult, i am admiring thks for the picture .
Are you the Jabo0odyDubs from YouTube? At the moment your texture is reading more like stone than metal, especially on the film reels. Also, your film reels are really low polygon and noticeably blocky. It wouldn't hurt to use a few more segments in your cylinders.
Hey, the model is nice, but to me it looks a bit fantasy-ish, although I have not played Chivalry, but the style is a bit different to what I saw, so don't throw stones at me I'm a newbie here. :) Have you tried not painted metal instead?
Really very good details, I never had the opportunity to work on CE, how big is your texture of the detail? Is it just a normal map? I would like to see in this enviro, a wheeled vehicle driving one wheel on a larger stone :D Good job !
Created a concept for a NP treant.... what do u guys think?? too weird? maybe remake it into something for veno?? or a courier??? i really like the idea and id love to create a wood/fire/ice/stone if i make it a courier, or simple wood for a treant!
Yeah, I saw it and was thinking that its actually 'easy' to get a material that is over a large area, and then just have detail normal map to give some details. It's easier with that kind of materials, stone and such, but I was wondering how you would get around it with wood or metal.
