Could we see some texture sheets? It looks great but it's all so high poly.. Creating an environment out of these pieces would take the polycount through the roof. I'm particularly interested to see how you did the 'dead end' sections. Does that use one texture, or does it use multiple material IDs?
Anyhow I did a basic house design and had some practice set up a 2048x2048 texture and did a 1024x1024 for each a brick texture and a roof have I done this correctly or not here's my uv's. Only thing i was curious about was texel density when working with these trim textures I made it equal there.
Hi there =) . New update. I've worked on a better sculpt for my two rocks and the big rock around the gate. I've also make a basic texture for my rocks. It's pretty rough for the moment but I will do a better one soon. The next update will show the new roof. And perhaps the new/definitive rock texture ! Cheers !
Thanks guys! @nathdevlin I can align the paint with the bricks, good find! My screenshot disappeared for some reason from my last post, so here's a small update. added tarp to the ceiling windows/roof and some other small details. Tomorrow I should really be starting on the left wall and it's props.
You serious? Not quite sure what time we left.. But I'm not sure about a lot of things from last night. Like I'm not sure where I left my wallet.. In some roof club right now.. Getting shitfaced again What time did you roll up last night?
its beyond worth it, especially if you do sculpting. shit, when i first got it, productivity hit through the roof. i seriously couldn't put the pen down. its easy to use and i cant image myself going back to using the smaller tablets. probably the smartest thing i have ever invested in.
You are thinking about Foxconn, where the work situations are so bad people comit suicide by jumping off the roofs. But the situation has improved, they have installed anti-suicide nets arround the campuses now! And these guys manufacture the most complicated electronics, like your psp`s your ds`s and your iphones.
Yea I would stick to the Hair/Fur modifier for grass, thatched roof and of course hair and fur. You could also try painting instanced geometry with scripts like Niel Blevins (SoulBurn) object painter script for a lower poly approach. And your signature is really distracting. Big wall of white text... gah is this 4Chan?
Cool model... But i want say. You should make windows and a roof more round... here is a some referents if you need http://mkmagazin.almanacwhf.ru/venicle/draw/zil_157.rar http://museum.radioscanner.ru/avionika/aviomuzejs/rsp_7/203.jpg http://gspo.ru/index.php?showtopic=1639 for now of this model you can try do this )))
Loving it! It's not very often you see stuff like this beeing showcased. Kinda reminds me a bit of Wind Waker. Which is a very good thing! ^_^ Only crits I have are that the hay roof looks a bit too orange on some pictures and the leaves on the tree don't really fit in. Keep up the good work!
