always safe with a geforce in your price range. I have the 580, no issues, some people complain that they can't get super high poly counts with it (on another thread some where around here)

Just picked up the same monitor a few weeks ago. For $550 it's great and offers a ton of on screen adjustments. Also. You'll never go back to 1080p after working with 1440p for a few days. The difference is incredible.
