hey jogshy I have a question to ask Ive been using z-brush 3.5 R3 for sculpting lately. I recently did a experiment of making some high poly rocks. So I made a basic box with a sub D on it , reseted its X-form and its pivot and placed it at 0,0,0 before export. I then sculpted out my said rock. I after feeling comfortable…
So i've been meaning to bring this up for a while. I'de like to open the discussion back up on averaging the cage normals, as a feature got implemented(which was cool) but it is a much much slower way of doing the same thing in max or maya. So first off, lets go over what it takes to get an "averaged" projection cage in…
Hey jogshy. Thanks a lot for making such a tool available for free. I use it daily, and the whole team I was with at Ubi have been converted into using it because we were 2 users of it and it was so fast and produced so clean results... ;) Some notes about what I'd like to see in future versions: check boxes to bake…

Btw, the example looks much better if you disable the DX10's gamma correction option ( in the plugin-manager ). Are you using the max2obj exporter that comes with 3dsmax by…
[ QUOTE ] We're interested in developing an exporter for our Marmoset Engine mesh file format. Any comments before we jump in? [/ QUOTE ] In theory will be easy to do a mesh importer for xNormal using its C++ SDK and Visual Studio. You just need to implement the IMeshImporter class and output a Geometry with the positions…
You should change to the 3.16.6 because the previous versions have a strange bug that misaligns the normal map and the AO map. About the settings you mention: I use 32 for a very faaaast test. 64 for fast but better test. 128 for medium quality. 256/512 for quality. 1024+ for final result. For testing, of course, don't use…
