I was really inspired by the new Jinx character from LoL, that I wanted to make my own character like that. So I give you Hex. Almost done with this piece, need to do a bit more micro detail and clean up a lot more, and then I'll be moving on to her background.
Going to try and make an environment. I've never done anything like this before so I'm keeping it really simple and graphical. My brother is working on a game engine so we're going to use the stuff I make for somewhat of a tech demo! Really inspired by this http://www.racer445.com/misc.html
just saw The Room for the first time and got inspired to do a horribly acted animation about 2 hours in so far, couldn't stop myself from starting on the facials way too early :) [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjkDWmRJzJA"]the room facial - YouTube[/ame] edit: updated
Some crazy stuff, goign again this year, lots have been added to the inspiration folder :D Just a concept sculpt and first practice of hard surface sculpting in ZBrush, based on a concept by the amazing FightPunch! With a few tweaks :) my thread is available: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=102649
Awsome work everyone, really inspiring! Here's something I started working on last week. I have not figured out the composition yet, so I just put together the props I've made so far. Crosspost from my thread http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=127905
I've always had this dream of drawing something that Hazardous would want to model. A guy can dream, can't he? Been reading up on Pagan folklore, a LOT of cultures had goat-people in their stories. This one is inspired by Puck from A Midsummer Night's Dream, so I called her Puckette.
@Bryan Cavett I'm totally loving your rock texture! Very inspiring! :) I finished a small exterior scene to add a bit more diversity to my portfolio: You can see my portfolio thread here: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=113795 Time to start looking for a job!
Hazardous: amazing like always cg-sammu: Straight to the inspiration folder Rayph: That's a very interesting concept, I like the proportions. So here is progress on my Clay Morrow, its not perfect but its a good stopping point. Turnaround are on my thread: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1810361#post1810361
Nice work Swizzle! I'd just make the edge feathers a lil bit more close of each other on the wings.. I don't know what is the tri count for this, but well, it may be a hell for you later :) I got some inspiration with Metal Gear RR stuff :D Not sure if I do the body or not...
I feel bad following Tor but here it goes anyway :P Update on my drone. A WW2 era inspired colour scheme with some other additional tests. This is still a WIP I want to push the materials more. Cross post from here : http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1793706#post1793706
