Those categories sound fairly accurate to me; here's a good example of the "achiever" group. I look at something like that and shake my head, but apparently there's a lot of them and they take it seriously. -

Skip the flash, seriously. Something is very wrong when the "PORTFOLIO" Header is actually bigger than the images. I mean your images are your portfolio, they should have the main focus. -

I was mostly just thinking in terms of sustainability and career wise, it sucks to hear from people who have been in it that it can be a political or hostile place. Anyways, seriously best of luck. -

Seriously though, I used to go to the Post Forums awhile back. But it got lame fairly fast. CGTalk might be your best bet, in terms of a bunch of creatives getting together.
