There is an example script in the max docs that hooks to the object creation callback. Its a little work but you could write a callback function to do what ever you want from that.
it looks good , the only distracting thing is that pattern looping round the arches, it just doesnt seem very functional and doesnt quite flow with the shape of the arch perfectly even in the concept.
Using the edgesmooth plugin this should be easy to script as well. It exposes a number of useful function to set hard/soft edges: https://github.com/Pjanssen/EdgeSmooth/blob/master/README.md
thats the kind of thinking that brought along vista. most people with a minimum of computer sense, will go for the black monolith, then hide it under a table. design is, and will always be secondary. functionality is primary.
I think it'd be worth doing some more design development on the prosthetic arm. The elbow doesn't look like it'd actually function the way it's set up now.
Tried it, doesn't have the functionality i want. Basically just does make planar or align to global position. Anyone, want to give a go at the script I mentioned below?
Light functions are the classic way of achieving this. It looks like you just need to massage your material and/or texture some more. Can you show your material setup?
Small addition, but added the ability to cycle through spells by pressing dpad. It'll make it easier to just test stuff, but also blocks out the functionality of the gauntlet changing "slots"
She's beautiful! It feels like she's wearing ceremonial garb instead of functional warrior clothing, but it is fantasy so anything goes! Great work, she turned out awesome.
didn't manage to solve this, just work around it by using lazy mouse equivalent functions and resorting to slow strokes. can't be only happening on my intuos 5/driver setup?
