Thanks! I'll go back to work on texturing. I'll try to put a little more damage on the head, I didn't want to go overboard, 'cause I still did want it to look like a sturdy shield, but I'll accentuate what I've got so far. I'll revisit the back of the shield too. Maybe it should have some stains or more visible sratches,…
Not much to say here other than. ..more texture work? i wanna add more dirt and damage to the bottom of the feet, a friend of mien also suggested to dirty up the tubes. I think i'll just scratch them up instead. I also wanna make this an "illustration" like this Keos Masons piece Detetective.…
@Alphonse: Thanks for the "tip" LOL...hahah, but in any case, I haven't played but I will take the stability into consideration and will probably adjust it accordingly. My approach to this was a damaged king's sword that was refurbished you could say to be affordable for the commoner. @9thKnight: Im installing the game at…
What I had in mind was like it's a backyard with a meadow behind kind of thing so the lawn was mowed but it wasn't trim in order not to damage the fences or the tree or even the flowers that grow naturally there. I remember when i did the lawn in country that i used to trim under the fences but not around the wood pillar.…
If you are going to schedule yourself, like saying "I'm gonna finish the high poly today" it's best to schedule more realistically, this is your personal stuff and nothing will happen if you don't hit your goals, but it can damage your will to work, I had big problems estimating time during my early days and I'm not…
Here is someone else work i found and a real ref pic. Look at the variation on the concrete. You see how they have wear in specific areas? Like water damaged near the base cause they would be outside and exposed to the elements. Are you using a base texture? Or did you paint it in? Check out cgtextures.com tons of images…
The model is pretty nice but i feel that the texture lets it down. Grunge and dirt everywhere just floods it with to much information. Try making a really nice clean version, then slowly adding dirt in a few places. I had this problem when i started texturing, i would add way to much 'detail' and it just made my models…
Glad to see you're still on it :D Cool wall panels! The truck is cool, but at this stage I can't figure if it's an hyperion trucks (rather clean) or a "wastelander'' truck (grid and panel on window , plates from the previous screen) Assuming it's the second choice, I think it would look cooler if it was more damaged,…
There shouldn't be massive scratches where ther blade doesn't make contact with surfaces. Do you see how some of these scratches ignore ledges and continue across the surface of the object when in reality, a mark wouldn't physically do that in all likelihood? This is a decent start, but more careful and specific painting…
