Absolutely stunning imagery, very amazing high quality models and the storyline/plot to it is just breathtaking. My favorite part is the use of Sound, rather than giving the creatures an almost simplistic view, you guys gave them mechanical glitch sounds to portray the harsh movement caused by the spider on the Moth.…
Hey, I'm available for work again, thought I'd bring this up the list. If you have any character business to attend to, give me a PM or an e-mail, I'd love to see the new fantastical creature or hero ready to be brought to life you might have in store. Contact me: david.merticariu@gmail.com Regards, Daniel
Creature project. I completed this model last year, though I would like to return to it and improve her pose in the future. The design was inspired by the Sylvari race from Guild Wars 2. Modeled in Maya and textured / sculpted in Mudbox. Her name is Eveleen. She is a curious child who enjoys studying botany and zoology.
In my studio, the most common uses for IK's are for legs and arms. We do a lot of animals. If we are doing a creature that uses multiple joints when it walks, like a horse, we typically use a spring solver. But for things like a tail or elephant trunk, we just use driven keys to control the bend and swing of it.
Re: the idea that we could be useful to AI and robots of the future, as assistants: do you guys really think creatures that think and move this fast need will need *our* help? :P https://youtu.be/QCqxOzKNFks More info and videos here, including in the comments:…
You are subdividing your creature way too quickly and getting in to detail when you should be focusing on major shapes. Its face looks like a sloppy pile of pancakes. Your first concept also looked like a 90% rip from Cho'gath from League of Legends, glad you changed it. Keep it up.
Wow. I had a choice at the start of this year to either start at Creature Technology on a potentially short ad hoc contract or to head over and do "stable" work at Gameloft in New Zealand. After narrowly avoiding working(ie crashing and burning during the interview) at Team Bondi, this is the second time dodged the…
Mind if I actually share some works like that? Anthromorphic creatures are my jam also! I am familiar with human anatomy. But when it comes to faces... Just don't know what quality level I am on with them haha. Could be better and more expressive I think? I need to draw more..
I've been playing around some more with vectorart ... while I'm still doing stuff for university. Everything still is work in progress.... I've start an little illustration... (very wip) Also I've done some creatures/enemies: haha, had some fun doing this... through there could be lot of improvement, I guess.
Weird joolz. I dont think I've ever even seen a cat shagging. I don't see them as particularly horny creatures. Perhaps I've just led a sheltered life? Now dogs are randy bastards. Our dog jasper used to try and shag the cat, and that was a pretty bloody funny sight to behold.
