Could you explain what you're trying to do? You're trying to read geometry objects from a file and creating curves from their vertices? Is it a requirement to use Python? I think MEL could be more simple (here's a guide on MEL and MaxScript).
yeah its a bit strange that I have a lot of folks on G+ that are add's from polycount that I have never met, whereas on FB everyone on my list I have met in person...I guess that its just the nature of G+
I met Parasite7 and a few others at GDC, which was really exciting :) ! Has anyone heard any news? I recall reading that interns that met their expectations would know if they got the internships by May, but I'm assuming that is including interviews associated with the application.
One thing about organic modeling is that it all has to flow together. That said, you should totally connect the arms and legs to the main model maintaining good topology. Floating gemotery (arms, legs,) on a character is not a good thing. Not a bad start though.:)

came here to say: awesome! ;) I like the shapes, the idea and the look. It could be a bit more crisp - looks a bit too smooth/soft for me. For example the transistion on the back between the horn shaps on the leg to the skin. Also the shape for the forehand/leg looks from the sideview a bit weird Cheers
