The cleanup function doesnt take care of double edges, for me at least. If you find thats true for yourself heres a script I threw together few days ago. It saves your selection so it can be used at any time during the modeling process, though is a little finicky with edge selections sense it changes their order when…
1. Check what ghib said, I never use snap to curve so I don't really know. 2. This is something that really annoys me about Maya, coming from Max. I need to make two objects for every "solid" curve I want - one for the curve spline, one for the shape to loft. I just want to click the "renderable" box! I might see if I can…
[ QUOTE ] Highlight selected verts don't do anything. I want my selected UV point in the UV editor window to select the corresponding Vert on the geo. I also like to hunt UV points on the mesh itself and have them show up in the UV window. It's usefull for unwrapping overlapping sections. [/ QUOTE ] Turning on Highlight…
Don't think so, the unwrap modifier will probably have a check against creating degenerate faces (degenerate faces are those where one vert is used repeatedly, such as the top/bottom 2-vert faces of max teapot).
The face somehow to me doesn't match the quality of the rest of the body. It could be because you need to put expression on his face to make it more believable and also the eyes look like they're facing different ways.
Refined the face further. I have mixed feelings about the face. I might do a couple of completely different faces/styles, come back to this one and compare them with fresh eyes. C&C welcome.
I'm not sure how to do that exactly, but: In face mode, goto the select menu, select overlapped faces. That will select the overlapping faces, I don't know how you get a permenant colour change on them though.
First face bust, and it's Arnie. Picked him because he's a pretty iconic face: Not perfect and could be more detailed, but was just using this to get a feel for the workflow. I'll go for a female face next, then on to some different body types. Crit appreciated!
Yeah that's pretty nuts for on a face in a CG film, since CG films love to zoom in on faces waaay more than for a liveaction actor. Also, altho minor, the UVs on Don's purple eyemask is pretty sloppy for a prominent camera area of a face aswell.
Started a face that I think I will end up using, this is probably the third or fourth face that I have sculpted for this project. I think that I will reshape the body's proportions a bit so it kind of fits with the face a little better. Any suggestions?
