Yep I agree, the story needs work. All parts look equally worn down as if the boat was brand new but made out of scrap. Places where people sit, where they put their feet, all the high traffic areas would have more wear. Just some ideas. Oar mounts or cleats? Poops idea is a winner. BP3D is a great tool. If you're going the rotating chair route, I'd recommend trying to eliminate shadows as much as possible.
