Some work from the weekend. Began breaking up the hair and torso armor into their smaller components. Everything is still a bit "wobbly" at the moment but I'll coming back to start working on refining the shapes once its all split out.
Been using the creation of my Dungeons and Dragons character to do a little skin shading and costume design study. There's things I like and don't about both armor designs so I'll probably make at least a third version.
If you will be swapping out clothing or armor, you want it separate. If you want to do close up face shots, you may want to do it seperate so you can have a higher rez version of the face texture.
A few official pics just for fun:P. I think bats will have like 3 different suits for the film, The one from the teaser, another(I'm guessing the pic without the cowl), and the armor from frank millers "dark knight".
@Nathanramsey Thanks man! I did a test last night to work on some armor or leather on the other side but It gets a bit cluttered. Ill Probably add a trophy skull or something on his left waist to balance things out.
I love the concept of this character. Reminds me of the armor guys in a Space Pirate movie I saw a while ago. Awesome progress so far. I really like whats coming out of this. Cant wait to see it finished :)
That armored guy is looking sweet :) The dark cloth on her forearm and under neck are way too dark for my taste, would like to see some of the folds in there, cause right now the surface looks hard compared to your sculpt
Another material for this weekend... This one was fun! It's a sci-fi armor, triaxial weave carbon fiber material. Say that three times fast! I did a few quick material tweaks to make a coated steel and anodized titanium variation
Hummmm, armor looks fine and metallic to me. What I'd wish to see was same type of detailing for the face. Eyelids, helmet pushing the skin etc. This is probably my favorite entry so far. Looking forward to more updates!
Quick update. Got the shoulders textured, next is the headpiece (well, feet actually. Got a little ahead of myself). Going to go back and tweak the textures on the hands too, as well as add a bit of a 'roughness' texture to some of the armor parts.
