More ram will not help you with that because subdividing a 7 million point tool would give you 28 million points which will put you well past the default poly limit. You should never need a 28 million point mesh, you need to work more efficiently.
@Ragnar_Danneskjöld I did that rock this afternoon, started around 3 and ended around 7 while watching Ender's Game, so off and on for about 4 hours. Its not really that time consuming, and I was just having some fun experimenting and mixing methods. I had a wicked time creating this.
My girlfriend is working through Maya tutorials. She bought "Learning Maya" for version 7 without any intervention or recommendation from me. She's currently at my place working on a Flash animation while I crunch at work. Her WoW character has outleveled mine. She's great.
Well, I thought it was great up until it took the image 7 seconds to load. The way you have it set up is a bit perplexing, most people would warn against the use of flash. The layout is just fine, and the work is nice, I just don't know about how it's presented.
@DeathstrokeFTW thanks! We're not across the line let though. Next up is a pass on set dressing and lighting. @Auldbenkenobi The scene is currently using 7 materials: 3 trims (used on practically every part of the kit), and 4 tiling placeholder materials (generic bare metal, painted metal, rubber and water).
Boxing is a very, very, very dead sport. You have to get punched in the head to participate, you have to pay big money to watch events, the judging is often though to be rigged. I would never pay $100 over watching game 7 NBA Spurs vs Clippers for free.
www.thinkgeek.com As much as I hate the idea of April Fool's Day, Think Geek wins hands down. And, to answer your question Psuedo, yes. The Tauntaun sleeping bag was originally an AFD joke that there was a large enough demand for that they actually made it. http://www.thinkgeek.com/geek-kids/7-13-years/bb2e/
Slosh brings up a good point. Are you working 7 days of the week right now? Do you have an off day? If so, you could certainly push yourself more on that day. Maybe take a lighter course load next semester if it's more of school that's keeping you that busy?
Thanks, hopefully i can get this thing baked today. I have been screwing around with 3ds max for a long ass time, probably 6-7 years. I've only recently started to take this more seriously. Kinda wish I would've done that a long time ago.
