I like the wood texture you did. With that said, I don't think it fits with your scene. Sci fi typically doesn't have much wood, but regardless of that, I don't think this architectural style would employ wood. It's not a big deal though.
Well I think it's changed now (if you are referring to the sci-fi watercooler/ dock) It's a crane/lift thingy now. Also, Clockwork, degrees in Law are considerably harder than degrees in Games Design...why do that? A degree in an art field is as legitemate as the next.
Hey Tor, Loving the scene, awesome work and it's nice to see something not Sci-fi Q. All the buildings are made from modular pieces? and if so do you use a simple plane or do you give it some thickness? Keep Going! Steve
Here are a first couple of rough sketches. Trying to keep some of Diana's iconic shapes while introducing more of the Project sci-fi element. For the next round of iteration I'd like to add more silhouettes breaks, asymmetry as well as dive into the helmet concept.
The only two shows I watch are Fringe and House. Fringe is freakin AWESOME. Of course I watch Bill Dance religiously too, but no one else here probably does.... (no I'm not a hick). Another good show is that Sci-Fi Science on Science channel...
I haven't posted anything in here for a while, so here is what I am up to at the moment. Some Sci-Fi character. Started as a quick sculpt in Zbrush but quickly decided to move on to something more refine. I a m currently working on the retopo
Gah, looking at all your works, i'm evidently way in over my head here >< As to the coding problem, i guess thats where doing a mod may come in handy? I'm fine with anything really, but sci-fi too is my favourite ^^
thanks guys, so are the common way is to eyeball it and match it without focusing in perspective. if I get an interior sci fi concept with good perspective, do I just match it so it look nice and get as close as possible. and of course to be aware in the size and scale.
only thing I'd really suggest is that you take anything you created via the Luke Ahern texturing book out of there, most of your sci fi stuff looks just like the stuff he had you create in the learn to texture books.
