You're quite right, It happens in max too, I merely mentioned Maya because I was after specific work around instructions. Given that there isn't some magic tool or mel script to fix the problem, I guess I'll just have to cut back on the slopes on the edges. Yeah, actually, I didn't notice that before. I just assumed since it was 80x80 pixels that it was ACTUALLY that size... With my magical moderator powers I command you to at least get that image, take it into photoshop and manually resize down to 80x80px, then save that and use it as an avatar.
