*GOal 1: Own my own country. *GOal 2: Work at Valve AND Blizzard as an awesome animator, im sure its achievable if I get better. ;D Might have to sacrifice some babies at some point but it is doable ;D
awesome! gonna look through them, i just stumbled upon some videos from Digital Tutors that a friend of mine had, so i'm gonna go over those aswell :D - thanks for the replies and help folks :D
Amazing! Big thanks for documenting your pipeline as it's what allows novice artists like myself to become familiar with the D&D process as well as how the many software technologies are used together to achieve the the most detailed, final piece :o
well, couldn't help myself. Gonna add a fedora and change the boots to heels with warmers over them. http://gamestepper.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=31844&d=1257211547 and the dress: http://gamestepper.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=31847&d=1257211572
Hoping to pick up the game Monday :D Honestly, I've been look at the art for this game for months and been DYING.... even if the gameplay is only so-so, that art will keep me going :D I'm so very in love with the style.
Hi guys, So I decided to make a high poly and bake an object space normal map instead, and already the results are obvious. Quick 2 minute bake here. Comments are welcome :D Normal: AO: Wip: Cheers :D
There ya go! Yeah, no harm in keeping things extremely low and blocky for the sake of evenly spaced, and equal topology. Get it all welded and evenly spaced once morphed at a low resolution, then sub-d and project (don't sub-d first, morph, then project)
Looking at such retopology is a pleasure for my eyes :) Textures, concept, scult - everything top notch here! This set will be so awesome! However as it is Boodcyka I am surprised there is no forcestaff in his hand haha :D Kidding :D I am looking forward to this one.
Nice rocks but they feel too smooth imo. Add some more roughness to create a more natural look. http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs15/f/2007/109/a/d/minas_tirith_7_by_Minas_Tirith_Hakan.jpg http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs15/f/2007/109/a/d/minas_tirith_7_by_Minas_Tirith_Hakan.jpg
Turns out, I am stupid :D I didn't realise that there were settings for the cylindrical map. Turns out they help quite a bit :D UV map done, not just got to pack it: I can't see any major distortion either:
