Yep, I plan to do the following within the next 6 months: -stylized hand painted texturing techniques part 2 -advanced texturing techniques -modular tree and foliage construction -modular architecture construction
For 1300, you could probably get a Core i7, 6 gb of ram, and a good GTX 460 and have enough left over for some nice monitors. Thats probably a good way to go to start.
It would be awesome to have the opportunity but I'm only around for 6 months in total so I doubt its viable. Jackablade it would be most excellent of you to ask around, smiles faces all round!
I'd try to get at least a 6 core Intel processor like the 5820k, 16 gigs of ram, and a 980 gtx. Gaming PC builder sites would be perfect for that, should easily be less than $2,000.
Ah so in theory your floor is like 5-6 polygons, with cutouts on the UVs for additional sections... do they need to actually join by vertex/edge or can they just snap together as seperate pieces. Cheers
Tried to get back onto polycount about 5 or 6 times today, nothing at first then godaddy came up and I was like noooooooooooo. Glad your back and hope to see a new site soon.
I think the intent is to steer people away from UDIM if it's not necessary, and it rarely is. Someone getting the idea that using 6 4k maps for a simple wood shack in a realtime game is acceptable isn't very helpful.
I've seen some that are pretty up front, estimated costs of music and 6 months of dev and marketing, any extras go into ports or other features. I'd like to see that break down on most projects.
I bought my first Cintiq on Craigslist and used it for 6 years before selling and upgrading to a new one. Buying on Craigslist worked out well since I was not in a hurry and looked at several before buying.
Sunray What's bugging me is his lips, they dont seem to fit Santa, maybe they are a bit too feminine? Thanks for the advice, I tried to tone it down and added a belly instead of 6 pack abs!
