I also started this dude here as an enemy for Alice, but that's just a concept for now and I don't think I'm going to finish it so I put it into my digital sketchbook. decided to post it here too as they are related, wouldn't hurt anyway.
I switched from Maya to Max for work too! Again, it took me only a few nights of the same 3D buzz, and digital tutors tutorials. Its pretty straight forward and in hindsight learning both just encourages more opportunity!
Thanks Eric, but this space is so dark, and I can't possibly light a digital lite so I am not knowing where this moderator is ? Can u help? I can hardly see to navigate around -- why has it to be so dark?
Have you fully completed a beginners guide to Maya tutorial? There are plenty to choose from, and they go over a ton of stuff. I've also taken this course on Pluralsight/Digital Tutors called Professional Tips For Modelling Complex Shapes. It was really great.
Everyone tells me Lynda.com is significantly better than Digital Tutors on some subjects. Steve Nelle taught me how to use 3ds Max, and there are few parts of the program (with the exception of animation) that I haven't learned from his videos.
Thanks, If you'd like to follow the progress I'm updating daily in my digital sketchbook here: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=76906 But will post the finished one pretty soon. This thread should have more activity, it's an awesome idea.
Were sending a Card from my office for a speedy recovery, since many of you dont know him in real life//in person Perhaps we should start a digital card on here (Similar to the graffiti Wall We made before)
thats not GTA IV on xbox, is it? (by way of some mod, assumedly) oh and concerning an earlier point on the dot crap ("digital dandruff"). I've seen that so much, I think its in like every UE3 game I have here.
2nd - making music, digitally and analogically (playing bluesharp and learning to play bass guitar) 3rd - telling stories to my friends, in stand-up-comedymode. 4th - writing for a youth magazine 5th - drinking beer and having fun chilling outdoors.
I think this is a good finished project to start my digital sketchbook on here. I made this character for the CGBoost Cute Warrior Challenge. She is a tiefling warlock who poses as a cleric named Hope. She uses some of her more deceptive spells to convince others to do bad things for the demon she has a pact with.
