EDIT: I saw(too late) my point was mentioned before, so this post has not much to add :) I'd get rid of the n-gons(especially the ones with holes on them) if this is going to be a portfolio piece. It will mean that you're aware that bad triangulation may happen with such polygons during exporting. -

at least a few N-gons in there too (just from that image I can see at least 2 or 4 5-sided polys.) that might be causing issues with the UV but you certainly want to clean that up before you unwrap it as that can cause any number of issues throughout the workflow. -

'adikt' huh? Good luck! -I can see opening up the 'a' so it's not split vertically, and closing it at the bottom- this gets rid of the 'n' and the 'f' impression and still works inverted. But the 'd' is a real problem- it looks like an 'R' upside down and I can't think of any way to fix it. -

Seems like a massive pain in the ass to have to rebake for every time you want to try to move/rotate/scale a UV shell no? Would people get some benefit if we made a tool to literally just click n drag on a UV shell and move it around with realtime updates to all the textures? -

In Blender there are numerous techniques to visually highlight problematic or erratic components, like poles, doubles, laminars, nonmanifolds, tris, n-gons, whatever you can dream up really. Big question: Is there any solution out there (stock built-in or otherwise) that can help me to VISUALLY DIAGNOSE my meshes?? -

What really sucks about it is that my face looks like Fry's. Not sure if frozen, or should wait longer. The work around I have now is pretty fast. yeah just have a look at the animated GIF's on the TexTools website, they should kind of explain what each one does. My big inspiration back then was Headus UV layout which is a kick as but sadly very expensive UV software. The problem with headus was however that it would sometimes break the topology or crash on n-gon…
