So for the turret I decided to go with the Shadow Isles region theme. Thought about for the robe part there would be wailing ghosts that covers the bottom of it and have it gradient transitsion. Not sure whether to have the tombstone on its back be short and float or have it built into the circular platform. Gonna upload a…
You might want to rework how the cape hood wraps around her head or the skull shape underneath it maybe, it's hard to tell. The hoodie looks like it's floating above her head instead of wrapping around it. Also, look at the reference at how the knees are indicated, the wraps are placed intentionally. Love the rest so far!
Thanks! Some crits! :D And you are very correct about the bricks. Dirt/vertex paint on bricks are planned! Trims are wips, haven't figured what color I should use for them, so they won't become to contrasty and frame in the building to much. Or maybe they should be doing just that? (btw, loved your floating mansion scene!)
What about putting that red strip on the diffuse map instead of floating it as a decal? I dunno. It's looking real nice esp the foliage and stuff. Maybe you could break the plane up more and have the wing seperate as debris sticking from the ground, give it a bit more character since it's broke / in a crash-site status.
An update - I think I'm finished with the base model, not sure how to tell if it is sculpt-ready, exactly. I anyone has any crits/suggestions on the transition from this base model to zbrush I'd greatly appreciate it. Also her handguards arent exactly touching her hands. they are kinda floating above them - Will that be an…
I really like the corner-stone idea mentioned in the M&B tutorial - does anyone know I'd go about using this technique? I see that it's a standalone alpha-texture (something like 64x128) - but how would I go about applying that to my model? Do I just float a plane over the corners?
not sure I'd call it finished. The colour values are very bland, no real shadows or highlights. not digging the chest plate, it's very out of place. It doesn't appear to be large enough for any form of protection, also it appears to be floating on his torso, not visibly attached by any means - one would guess that such a…
Beats me, KDR_11k. Last I checked, you had to be a 28 year old male and not be colour blind ... that and pass a whole battery of tests to be a SEAL. I would guess that 100-some apply to be SEALs but only 10 make it through. As with the idea ... it's still floating around ... I haven't made any solid ideas yet.
Yeah, actually was going to do that as part of the "grunge pass" because the two stall doors use the same UV space. And although you can't see the second door, you may in the future. So I was going to use a floating poly on the door to give it some uniqueness, while still using the same texture as the other.
I dont know if everyone else just missed this but it seems that she is floating an inch or two off the ground. Great work on the textures. I do agree with some of the others that it seems like the proprtions are just a little funky. she seems a little to skinny to me. Other than that keep up the good work man
