I don't want to dump on your hard work because pieces of this are looking pretty good but I think the pieces aren't meshing together well and they aren't supporting your overall goal of "abandoned". Next is a BMW 6 series (E63). This one came in at 2264 tris probably because I left out the windows and lights. It had stronger lines so I used smoothing groups to give the effect of the sharp edges. I also used some 5 sided polys that should work for sub-d without causing smoothing issues. -

Good pivot point placement as previously stated, Sticking to a grid system is also hugely beneficial when doing any kind of curved area. I'd also stick to 22.5 degree (90/4) segments for corners, you can go smaller if you like, just once it's evenly divisible so that you get snaps :) -
