Hrmm, it's kind of silly getting upset about this character in the context of GTA, it's kind of like Gir getting upset over the overuse of the N-word. I think people like him because he "doesn't give a fuck". I mean, it's from a choice of 3 mass murdering criminals.
great design i really like :) his arms in your final picture are looking a little odd to me. you should work a little on the foreshortening and try getting his legs n torso talking he looks kind of uncomfortable. the back arms kind of coming out of no where.
SOOOOO awesome- love the robot design, the barnacles are moss are a SUPER nice touch. I wish there was a tad more rust, and maybe some decals here n there- but sheeeeit I digress, awesome work man. *saved to inspiration folder. any chance you have the initial sketches uploaded?
Better? I've gotten rid of everything I could. Everything else is tied to the shape of the mesh, there to prevent n-gons, or used to prevent interpolation issues in the normal map. I've also changed it so that most of the mesh has unique texture space (green areas have mirrored UVs).
That's crazy I almost went to N-Space, luckily I didn't I would be in a bad position now. Sad hope all bounce back soon! Good luck also. By the way, anyone/kind hearted soul reading this want to be generous I'd love to give anything a shot.
You still didnt get it right its LIAR lier \Li"er\ (l[imac]"[~e]r), n. [From Lie. ] One who lies down; one who rests or remains, as in concealment. How come you are from english speaking country and cant write for shit?
[ QUOTE ] Woah, people had faith in former-blizzard employees? [/ QUOTE ] What did the Condor/Blizzard North guys do not to be trusted? This isn't the crowd that cancelled or seriously changed various *Craft titles over the years. Not that I'm a fan of paying a monthly fee for a hack-n-slash game...
n heres ma redo....I did some speed modelign the morning b4 this which helped I think. and that unreal render if any of you saw, I deleted that post since that was shite as well.....It just wasnt going to work with that model/unwrap.... hope they like this one better
EDIT: I saw(too late) my point was mentioned before, so this post has not much to add :) I'd get rid of the n-gons(especially the ones with holes on them) if this is going to be a portfolio piece. It will mean that you're aware that bad triangulation may happen with such polygons during exporting.
at least a few N-gons in there too (just from that image I can see at least 2 or 4 5-sided polys.) that might be causing issues with the UV but you certainly want to clean that up before you unwrap it as that can cause any number of issues throughout the workflow.
