Some Updates, Made some assets to make the pile look more diverse as well as add some lighting in the holes of the roof to make them look more natural, still looking for critique! [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJrofjCH5E0"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJrofjCH5E0[/ame]
This looks really nice, the biggest suggestion i could give would be to maybe seperate the colors/values on your different elements more. The roof, walls, stone and wood all feel like the same color and are close in value, it would really help to add some contrast to them as a whole.
That's a really weird pipe right there. Whoever designed it must've slipped on the paper while he was drawing it :) I like the lighting even though it seems kind of basic. The hole in the roof could use more motivation... like there's rubble everywhere except for under the whole? Looks very odd to me :)
I had major lighting issues with my last studio, and it became a nightmare to deal with. In my case though, every artist in my room wanted it pitch dark with the blinds completely closed. I cannot work in dark lit rooms and yes- fluorescent overhead lighting is bad on the eyes. I feel like a vampire working in a dark room…
Nice start. One thing you need to watch is your scale. Looking back and forth between your model and the concept there are quite a few discrepancies in the scale you've created some of the items. One thing you can try is pick a major object from each room and use that to measure the rooms width. Then do the same thing with…
the second one is really scary. i watched it here in the dark on a big screen which helped of course, but it really freaked me out for a bit, even though there's nothing really happening - it's very tense. only thing i don't understand is the part where the camera floats a bit - right after you enter the second room, the…
Alrighty all so this is the scene I'm working on. I decided to change it up a bit. If anyone hasn't played this puzzle type game called Crimson Room then PLEASE go and try it, I was sucked in and instantly inspired... so now I'm making my own"crimson room... no red though" inspired room. My plan is to take the atmosphere…
I have been working on this for about 2 days. This is my first scifi environment :) Main theme -> science lab for testing exotical plants. I need to figure out more assets like tables, pipes etc. Using maya, substance and unity :) please comment if you have any ideas for assets Roof inspiration
How's going, guys? I'm Peter Kyuyoung Lee. I was pretty busy to finish ArenaNet Environment intern test. I put a little rooster statue on the roof to show the front of the house. This was first time to make tileable textures. It was pretty interesting to do it, and fun. :) Please leave any comments or opinions. Have a…
I've recently been reading this article on the wiki, and though it discusses the advantages of the technique, the buildings all seem to be one mesh (excluding the roofs) how can you set up a mesh so that I can change the texture of individual sections like that? Do I use multiple UV maps for different sections, and if so,…
