the shoulders look off. Looking pretty good now, though. stomach ribs and pecs could be cleaned up. The darker skin stones could be a bit cooler and less saturated, and the skin in general a bit more orange (just a tiny bit).
This is just an idea, but how about some uneven stones on this pathway? I mean just some boxes sticking up a little to give it more depth, because now it looks realy flat and boring. other than that it looks pretty good.
ah thats better looks a bit wet and slick now but at least we can see the height, normals could be better if they had different heights/slants per stone tile rather than all being pretty much flat.
Thanks man! It's not set in stone yet but it's obviously really good that people are at least interested. After my first payday I'm tempted to get a little itsy bitsy greentooth tattoo as a record of the community that got me to where I am :)
Been working on the butcher's knife. Mostly Ive been concentrating on the blade itself. Going for a smooth stone type of feel with the spec, witha teensy bit more punch to help sell it. No spec and with spec The sculpt I did a while back.
keep it up man, i'm seeing a marked improvement in your work from the first post up to here, well done! (Also, I really like post #49, the stone detailing on that slark blade really works well in the concept!)
You should make the diffuse color of the metal darker (close to black) as that will make the metal parts read better as metal, because right now it kind of looks like stone or something. Other than that I really like it. Good job!
Thanks! I'm working on the stone island/ruins which I hope will break up the color a bit, but I completely agree it need more vegetation, mosses and molds. I might have been too careful with keeping the wood clean.
Quick update. At work atm, and these pics ( i'll post some clearer at home) are a bit messy, figuring out what kind of decorations I want on the armor, nothings set in stone so far. Currently messing around with winged markings.
Thanks ;) Sorry for the spam, working on specular (UDK), gonna get started on the paper after work tomorrow again. Thinking of putting this prop on a stone table, add a quill/ink etc. But first to finish this one :) Any feedback is greatly appreciated
