-Being billed as a total badass and then actually being able to live up to it by taking opponents apart with ease, ie: Crysis, most of Prototype -Nice meaty gun sounds with accompanying effect. -Believable character interaction -Force choke. Force joke is the best thing ever.
Just a quick question, why, even with 0 amount of bloom does the effect show once the Lens Dirt is added? With 0 Bloom 0 Lens dirt nothing is illuminated, but once you add the lens dirt it blooms up. Intentional or have I misunderstood?
Just makes sure its a program that downloads each page/image 1 by 1 versus attempting to grab it all at once. Doing it all at once can upset apache and cause an emergency page which results in having your ip promptly blocked by the admins.
hi everyone, this is probably a strange place to put a first post but i figured i´d post the url to the seemingly "new" orb website (at least that´s where i found it last time i looked for orb): http://engineering.soclab.bth.se/tools/177.aspx
Thank you for answering, I need to try this once in the engine. There are few things I am still unsure of but I will understand better once I start implementing it in the engine. Thank you so much for all the time you have spent in explaining this from the basics.
It's definitely a good game. Too bad Microsoft didn't put the ability for true force feedback into the XBOX's DirectX, so there will never be a true force feedback wheel. Nevertheless, it's my favorite racing game, better than GT4 IMO, graphics and gamewise (besides the lack of FF).
use the different DXTs to force better compression in an engine, as most of the time a non-converted image will be converted using the cheapest format, choosing the format yourself adds a little control and enables you to force less compression on images if the compression is causing artefacts (esp true of normalmaps)
[Graxus the Monk] My first project is attempting to make a "game-ready" character. The character is a male, half-orc monk. He's one of my friend's D&D characters. I think he's pretty neat. This is a pretty big project for my first go, but I'm hoping I mess up a ton of stuff and learn how to fix some things in the process.…
Hi all , once in a while I was posting some images in the low poly thread. At this point I want to show you what I have been working on for the last two weeks. Most of the models are still wip , once In a while I edit them. Here are some of the models and textures I made for the game. Any comements and critics will be nice…
Certainly, textures size should be set on a per case basis, and factors like the size, complexity, importance of item and viewing distance need to be taken into consideration. The previous example of a character's face that will be seen up close in a cinematic is a good example (as long as the texture density isn't…
