Looks great! Never seen so funny cartoon looking texture made in substance=) but of course some elements (cacti, roof tiles etc) are too heavy for "low poly"
Still going... some better lighting. Atm still in the block out stage just getting all the main elements in. The tunnel will go further just need to keep copying.
What if it'd used as a way to move around the model and select tools? You can still use the wacom for drawing and stuff and use the other hand to control other elements.
Thanks, glad you guys like it :) With the exception of a few small elements (the waterwheel next to the mill, some doors) that animate ingame, everything is pre-rendered in Maya/Mental Ray.
Looks stunning. The UI elements didnt scale right when I went up to 1920x1200 but it looks beautiful. I would totally buy a fleshed out game in this universe.
Sure it does make sense. ;) Obviously there will be lots of side elements, but I would like the track to be nice to see. I think that even a simple change of the texture could help.
Added a few new elements into the Skull - mostly still trying to get a feel for the plate layout and surface textures. And now back to the Creature Concept 1 :) C and C welcome
I've made some changes at the composition during the value rendering. I've try to connect all the elements and create a better flow in my picture, and help the viewer to navigate into the story
why bother connecting all of the geometry on the top of the base that goes to the rivets. you could just as easily make the rivets and base into separate elements and save yourself A LOT of geometry.
