3dsmax sometimes does some weird things across the line of symmetry even though the normalmap is fine. I find that if you put the same model into udk, unity, or some other engine it will render fine.
Hi, Does anyone know if there will be a Maya version of PhysX, APEX? Or has anyone have had any luck getting it to work in Maya as I need to use it for my project and I am new to 3DsMax?

If you do it in 3dsMax you have to manually (use the Pack UVs) separate the uvs so they dont stack on top of each other. A game engine will take care of that for you when you instance objects.

Hi, I wanted to ask if there is a tool that allows u to use the uv grid setting in the UVW unwrap modifier in 3dsmax to slice up your model into seperate elements or objects. This is very useful for very high detail texturing. Thanks
