Haha, thanks to this tutorial series I now know that UDK ships with speedtree utility scripts for 3ds max that do the same job as normal thief, except instantly :D
Hey, Very good tree indeed. It seems to be a 3D model, is that correct? If so, did you model it by hand or did you use a soft like SpeedTree for example? Thanks!
Wow, amazon just made speed tree free for their users: https://store.speedtree.com/product/speedtree-for-lumberyard/ These guys mean real business. Any body trying it out currently?
Hi all, Just a small project I did to learn more about Substance Designer, SpeedTree and Foliage setup in UE4. Inspired by the Sun Circle in Gothic II.
http://www.windwardmark.net/index.php Think of it like Speedtree, but for weather. True volumetric clouds. The way it handles the HDR of the sun is awesome.
Ironically, the first result is this thread. Honestly, this is probably a more useful link. TreeGen looks like a good place to start. There's also SpeedTree, which tons of companies use, but that costs moneys.
Awesome breakdowns! Final scene is jaw-dropping! Could you please just mention the softwares you used? Did you use Speedtree or Substance Suite or just ZBrush/Photoshop?
