http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTTV7W7WObo Giant Bomb: 30 Minutes with No Man's Sky http://www.giantbomb.com/articles/thirty-minutes-with-no-mans-sky/1100-5407/ So they reveal more info and I think "yeah, that's what I thought" I'm sure people will still ask "but what do you DO!"
I've been running an AMD Phenom 6 core 1100, 16 gb Ram, 120 GB SSD and a Nvidia 570 GTX selfbuilt for about half a year now, and it cost me maybe 700 Euros (with mobo/couple of other gadgets). Runs everything real sweet-like. Build it yourself man.
if you use mudbox or udim tags it should load the files fine... you have to name the files correct... for mudbox naming --> texturename_u1_v1 for UDIM --> texturename.1001 http://help.chaosgroup.com/vray/help/maya/150R1/bitmap_names.htm or use this method from neil should also work...…
Lol, lamest gameidea EVAR!!!1111 "Oh lets see, GTA style games sell well, and super heroes do well right now too... hmm but a combination isn't enought, the hero must be EVIL too so that he is kewl... ahh he's a professional hitman! Doesn't get cooler than that!"
Hi @ElephantFury . You could add the 1001-1010. Adding the second thing would cause a serious amount of shader recompilation time when you turn them on / off. BTW, UE 4.32 natively supports udims now, through the virtual texturing feature. Go check it out, as my one is obsolete in this case.
thanks guys! just updated to version 1.01 which fixes a rather nasty bug for higher 3dsmax versions (some max internal thingie, had to workaround) which caused actions, e.g. NURMS toggle by keybinding, to not show changes in viewport until you cause a repaint manually (move camera...). Thanks to Warren for reporting!
Hi guys! Different kind of pimping here. Would love some feedback on this as well. (I've also posted this to my blog: http://www.jonjones.com/2013/08/27/worklog-how-to-create-an-art-wall/) Art management time! Has anyone created a wall grid full of printed art assets for basic tracking and visualization? How did you do it…
Yeah i didnt like it much at first, but it's a lot of fun now destroying troopers. The 1.01 patch supposedly fixes some performance issues, altho the fps is still locked to 30. What's the deal with .bik movies anyway? why the hell cant we have divx compressed cutscenes instead of 8 GB of ginormous bink fmv?
I hate those games that give me this "must play now!" vs "let's wait till I can afford a new video card for the highest settings!" dilemma :( PS. if someone experiences crashes at launch, that GoG galaxy program just downloaded 2.6 MB of something and then it worked, over the regular GoG installer + 1.01 patch.
