AntonioNeves, Damn, that cabin :)) I wonder, do you do the textures before or after you've modeled? model I don't know if I like using normalmaps yet, it almost feel forced. The iron is very bland and simple, which is something I will have to improve on.
I agree with him. With decent UV's, this would look identical on a single 1024 map, perhaps even 512. well, you would lose the small bolts on the green bands, but that would be it :) It's a really nice pose. I like that you go through the effort of actually presenting it :)
@YBourykina Awesome work! @Curlscurly Good mood! @BrunoParrela nice color! Here is my lasted project on 2019. I try to combine "lazy UV and handpainted" technique on this project to create that look. Hope you like it! More picture and higher resolution at: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/RY4dED
@Cremuss Nice barrel and box, the wood texture looks great. @Srakir Scene is coming together nicely. Cool plants! @glenatron I like the shapes. Getting close to finishing this tiling texture up. Started as a workshop for the Hand Painter's Guild. Building a set of modular statics with it as well.
Damn this thread is so sick! I tried handpainting this thing with a super rough brush, dot patterns and no gradient smooothing. I don't know why, but I kind of like it. It's super rough I know, and barely finished.. but.. you know. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/desert-hovercopter
@felipealves I love the style on the bathroom, the wonky handles for the broom and plunger work well but maybe could do with a bit more colour variation. @Savannakhet Lovely scene, i've been wanting to do a similar style, i love this good use of bold colours. Reminds me of one of my favorite low poly artist, Kenneth Fejer.…
Hey am still new to hand painted textures, but here is a knight I made for a small indie game we're working on. Any Critic is welcome I hope you like it :). Here's a link to my art station with more views: https://www.artstation.com/artist/nicolebates Thanks for looking :)
ARTBYCHIEN - I like the colors on that weapon, looks good! I spent some time cleaning up seams and doing an overall pass on this in mari indie. I am going to get her rigged and concept out a set and props and work on that next. Cheers! ...and the texture. I painted it at 2k.
this looks awesome, I think the only thing is that around the top and bottom edge of the wood it would be nice to see a highlight/shadow of a beveled edge, like you have on the top of the axe head. right now the wood looks super jagged without it. otherwise I think its beautiful.
I agree with Snafubar7, you need to punch out the highlights more to make it more like metal. to do so, use your dodge tool, set it to "highlights", set the percentage to less than 40% (it blows out easily... so keep it low) and keep "protect tones" OFF
