Hi there! This is my very first post on this topic and on polycount. I wanted to share with you the scene I made for practicing my handpainted skills, even if i can't apply on the Blizzard student contest I still made something as a personal project on my free time. you can see more here Artstation -…

Hey guys, I'm planning on doing a rework of a tavern in WoW (dolanaar), seems like an interesting challenge. I've been busy doing props lately, and I love it. handpainted textures are really fun to make. the resolution might seem a little low. but keep in mind you will see these props form much further away in the actual…
@Sudharsan That's a good execution of the "sculpt to handpainted method". I think that it can use some color variation though. Maybe give the handle a different color? Because now it's all brown. @glenatron Looks really cool! I like it with the more vibrant colors. The wood texture looks really good. And the smoke looks…
Hey guys! Long time without posting, so here I am, This is the Super Metroid fanart, a fantastic super nintendo game that I love, and I decided made the iconic scene from to beginning of the game, in different style..handpainted textures. You can check out my porftólio and see more prints and marmoset viewer. Thank so…
Here are a couple handpainted textures I've done (I might make a thread sometime for this project). The ingame shots are from the Starcraft 2 engine. The first one was modeled by Jeeprubi, and took at least a couple days to paint. Airships like this are large and close to the screen so I can't really lazy the details much.…
@Lookitscherie: That cake looks delicious. I also skimmed your portfolio and everything there is adorable. @Dennispls: Solid updates! @Sourdough: That looks pretty darn finished to me. I think you've really nailed the WoW Art style. @FrancoisK: Nice work on that armored guy. It has a nice comic quality to it. Figured I…
Hi arvinmoses! Here I am again :) I believe you've been going back to the black shadows/ white highlights again without realizing. The shadows are too dark and the colors don't match well together. The blend between the 2 colors can be better I believe ^^ Look at a few handpainted tileables and try to dissect the color use…
@AbimaelGL Are you sure your normals/normalmap are correct? The way the inner court's roof shades looks a bit suspect, as if the normals are inverted! The rest I'm not sure about, it's a bit hard to locate the light source in general. I'd also try to fix the seams, as they're really noticeable right now Lovely colours…
HEAVY WIP =), needs more contrast, color variation and better grains. Well i've been trying to do handpainted before but stopped and i'll give it a try again. Trying to understand it more and more. Stylized games /art, was always my favourite. When i play games, i prefer the "realistic" ones. but in term of style. I'd rate…
