The Maxx WIP
So i started this guy a few days ago, the maxx (comicbook character) i think i'm getting pretty close to finishing him but i just wanted to get any crits or advice i could (i'm still at school and fairly new to 3d btw so don't crush me too hard) -

Hey Moppy Do you need any extra info about the DGirls proportions? I have the comicbook issue in wich these sheets appeared. There are some more good proportion pics in that, plus storyboards for the DG videogame too. Now if I can ever find that book again -

Man_O_Mule: there was a terrific comicbook about a robotically 'improved' dog, cat and (I think) hamster, who all spoke in very simplistic english (basically lolspeak, really). It doesn't sound too good now, but I would love to be able to remember the title. I thought it was from the same writer as Y: the last man, but now… -

thanks guys the final model will have the shirt on...I had a softer version of the muscles but someone else had mentioned that they looked too soft so I chiseled them a bit...I'll try to find somewhere in between. Can't think of anything else to do with his face right now,other than the details(but that's for later).. So i started working on the forms for his body before sculpting, trying to keep that stylized ape like feel(but subtle). I'll try to nail that comicbook/Jim Lee feel today. Critiques are welcome if you have the time. -

Here is another pass! I finally took the time to bring in a bunch of Comicbook Covers as well as a nice tree outside! I also did another Post Process pass. I also adjusted the Aspect ratio to about 2:1 Wide to make it more Cinematic. I still have some more things to add to make this scene finished! -

well, Hogarth is good for action and foreshortening, but Ill agree that his anatomy is weird. Its VERY idealized, and for my personal taste, has too much of that overworked sterile look to it. Plus he doesnt do "subtle". It does lend itself well to comicbook styles though, so it depends on where youre comin from. but…
