use udk. the only way i know of to add fog in the max viewport is with a lot of planes with low opacity - and that hardly looks good. if you dont want to do really fancy things - fog isn't one of them - then udk is really easy to set up and get into. http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=77377 check those out and… -

This is my first test with Marmoset Toolbag 2. I used this Chevy Chevelle model I did I think 4 years ago. It's pretty low poly (7771 tris) but had a high res model and 2048 textures. I did a quick job of making Glossiness and Metalness maps for MT2 as way to get accustomed to PBR: -

According to Epic So I can just pay $20, cancel it, and the engine's all mine? Without the updates of course. Also, they say the engine requires alot of power. Can my HD 7770 + i7 860 do the trick? At least for just importing assets and lighting them? If all of the above is true, then holy crap, this is a game changer! -

I've never run Quake 2 on this computer so I don't know how that behaves but after AA quits my mouse sensitivity is too high and I suddently have a mouse accelleration set. it is funky in TexTools and more a hack of things- if you have max 2010+ there should be a seam painting tool in the texture rendering tools or so (used to be polyboost) Viewport Canvas Start painting. Click 2D View…
