Hey thanks wallasaurus for pointing me in the right direction. I found this shader online. http://highend3d.com/3dsmax/downloads/shaders/DirectX-9-Shader-3948.html The alpha maps didn't work with it so I ended up e-mailing the guy about it and he fixed it so alpha maps work. So now Im set. Heres the results. -

arg, almost there (keep getting distracted after an hour of work every day... >_< ) seams and junk. I'm getting alot more comfortable and faster (and better?) at doing these details i think... to a point where it isn't the biggest waste of time to be working on them :P 3919 on the low so far... i really hope animators… -
