Quick update on the model after the comments on it being to high poly I have cut down the count a lot over the weekend cutting it down to 3654 tris total. I think it's now ready for me to start re doing the texture.
My own game project take 25 seconds to compile (just a few classes, nothing crazy). Yeah that's a bit annoying. However if I remember correctly there was different ways to improve that, such as : https://answers.unrealengine.com/questions/3647/how-to-improve-compile-times-for-a-c-project.html
