Happy new year everyone. One of my resolutions for this year is to actually finish projects and this challenge looks like a good way to get started. My mood boards. I'm looking to go for an ancient elven temple feel. I will be using; Maya Zbrush Photoshop UE4 Substance Designer and Painter Good Luck to everyone!
Other entries of people who I can confirm made it to the deadline but might have gone to sleep. Sly - Industrial Relics http://www.polycount.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2113380&postcount=11 Unbreakable - Ancient Temple http://www.polycount.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2113362&postcount=9
Even though Video Post is so ancient and badly designed, it still has the best post process filters for rendering. Look up Lens Effects Glow Filter. If Video Post is too weird/daunting, you can use the Glow effect in the Effects part of the Environment panel.
ah Megaman 2 brings back such fond memories. The perfect level of difficulty in that game unlike lame Battletoads (which was literally impossible on that wheel riding level.) Anyways, this Next Gen Megaman is looking mighty fine, and I'm looking forward to your next update, ancient-pig. :)
If this sacrifice stone is used well, it should show some traces of blood and maybe you want to carve some blood channels into the stone and place some drip cups at the end of the channels to collect the blood,... Just google around for ancient sarcrifice stones and develop your own thing.
Yesssss. Magic Carpet was one of the best damn games that nobody ever heard of. Bullfrog at it's finest. I wish Peter would make a sequel, if he's still got the rights to it. If EA has the rights, I'm sure it will be an FPS with firearms and time travel, set in ancient Egypt. FML >_<
thanks guys, I might redo the face, it doesn't look dwarfy enough (since the piller has a bit of a dwarvish look to it I'm going with the idea that it is ancient, dwarven ruins) I'll probably spend another day on the rock and then I'm done with it, I need to move on to the wood and the bell.
Can't get enough of Soma FM's 'Secret Agent'!! Wildly diverse mixture of modern grooves and ancient lounge and funk. It all ends up like the soundtrack of an endless spy action movie. You like Propellerheads and Esquivel and the 'Out of Sight' soundtrack? You gonna love this. /jzero
Great work Sampson! For the modelers block try some cartoons or movies, go out to some museums if you have any around, read a book, play some games, look up ancient relics. As everyone before me has said keep up the good work.
