Could possibly be a currupt file. I'm trying to get a crash with your autoback file and I'm not able to reproduce. It would be good if we can find where or what caused the curruption.
I haven't used 2013, but usually this happens to me during Autosave/backup. When I'm working with a really high poly model, I'll change autoback from 5 minutes to 20.
lol Tumerboy, that was my week last week where I got very disgruntled at it. I'll say this it has a pretty good autoback system, but it'd be nice if I didn't have to rely on it.
Well, 3ds Max is known for attracting gremlins at night that fuck your meshes up, hadn't you heard? You should have previous save files in your Documents>3dsMax>autoback folder.
yuh. happened a few times to me. Thank god Zbrush has an Autoback now. ^_^ I find the magic retopo really lends itself to a certain type of modelling. Going to give it another go today.
I usually have the autoback option enabled, it's been awhile since I worked with CE, should have paid attention. Oh well, gives me the chance to improve my scene's terrain I guess.
The first Brusherator was a tool endorsed by the illuminati, one eye; lucky for us the update is no longer endorsed by the illuminati. Autoback up to the cloud would be great, I know one can do this though their own means but it's a suggestion ;)
Yes, although I generally save more then once per 5 minutes. Maybe the autoback timer gets reset when you save? that would kinda suck. The crash on save thing happened yesterday too.
