well as a final creation it should have a layer of protection ( in this case paint since its a vehicle) you can add later on chips and scratches with a lot of specularity which resemble the metal UNDERNEATH, gives a better feeling overall. check this out and have fun ;)… -

Justin you can have a LOT of fun painting in SD. Once you learn how to graph things, you'll be painting away. Don't let the nodal framework bum you out.
