Thanks, what i have now is the AO over the diffuse as overlay. havent done much with the AO.

It looks like you took a diffuse, slapped it into crazy bump and ued the default settings...? i.e. Not good :(

Yes but if you compare to the screenshot with just normals on it it isnt nearly as apparent. Posibly just because of the diffuse.

Looks alright to me! Get an ambient occlusion bake on the diffuse texture there, and it will help a lot with faking the depth.

well, vector render makes it raster then back to vector and i dont think it recognizes diffuse texturing.
