use hard edged brushes and blend by hand - soft edged brushes make your work look fuzzy and ill-defined and.. since i'm putting it up everywhere else... generic rubber clad lady
So I stumbled across this on my hard drive today, It's an old design I started ages ago but sadly never did more with. It was a creature inspired by ballet. I wanted to capture the essence of ballet in this design.
@Eepox nice silhouette! @Erikwag90 Nice! The planes are delineated so nicely. Your sketch/speedpaint style definitely has a hard edged quality to it. Have you played much with varied edges? or are you taking the hard edge look farther? Polycount, I love you, but these ads are eating up a curious amount of resources. I'm…
I love your style, Allan! And your organic forms are killer, Dii! MAN I'm falling behind, awesome stuff as usual guys! Did I post this before? I'm having a hard time keeping track. Or this?
Yep stinger88 ^^ good old alchy :) Its funny I mostly just play around but it's so hard to make good art all the time, feel like I have to do 3-5 bad ones to get 1 good and then again and again XD
Striker: I agree with Zeno, awesome use of colors man, love the style but a photo ref for the perspective will help you a lot :) Allan-P: Love it! Nice mix of soft and hard edge, your more rendered stuff is sweet! heres some Black and white doodles:
@TerraBite. yeah man for sure i can remove these if they don't fit. point was feeling a bit bogus posting to WAYWO since they're just sketches / ideas with no intention of being taken much further if there's a hard and fast ruling for no 3D works in here then my apologies. and i'll dump 'em
Working out the design for a car, setting would be some kind of decopunk district of a cyberpunk world. Cars are kind of hard, and I'm not really a good concept artist, so line art it is! I've worked through several designs now, I think this is getting closer to what I want.
First time posting any work on Polycount - pretty intimidating, with all of the amazing stuff on here :poly122: I've been trying to force myself to do more daily sketches - I always enjoy it when I do it, so I'm not too sure why it's so hard to keep at it...
ErikNilsson: Thank you for the feedback! I am trying to look at more reference with my pictures, but i'm still developing my "artist eyes", so I have a hard time using reference effectively. Wave Hunter looks really awesome! This picture has a great sense of motion!
